You will succeed in this Full Charge Bookkeeper position if you have a background in accounting and you're interested in taking on a challenging role with opportunity for advancement. Accountemps is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. Candidates with excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines will be best fit for this position. The Full Charge Bookkeeper position is a long term temporary-to-fulltime opportunity in Wilmot, Ohio. Your responsibilities - Maintaining knowledge of current federal, state, and local legal requirements, ensuring adherence to them, filing reports, and communicating with management on needed actions - Performing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including collections - Tracking fixed assets to produce depreciation schedules - Reconciling bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll - Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows - Ensuring monthly, quarterly and year end close happens accurately and on time - Overseeing work of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers - Retaining historical records through the accurate filing of documents
- Experience with payroll preferred - Excellent organizational and multitasking skills - Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments - Experience with Microsoft Excel - Deep understanding of intercompany accounts - Proven knowledge of payroll - Accounts payable experience - QuickBooks experience - Command of accounts receivable - High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred - Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment - A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting - 3+ years of experience in the bookkeeping field - Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision - Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
